This Jam is a high-energy, timed video game development competition that brings together indie developers, artists, designers, and creators for an unforgettable creative experience. Whether you’re a seasoned developer or a newcomer eager to learn, the Orlando Game Jam is the perfect opportunity to experiment, meet other creators, and bring your ideas to life. Teams will compete for cash prizes and the chance to showcase their games at the Orlando Gaming EXPO.
Itinerary:
Thursday, February 19, 4 - 10 p.m.
- Learn the secret theme and special challenges, form a team of no more than 6 members, and start making your game.
Friday, February 20, and Saturday, February 21, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
- Melrose Center resources and spaces will be available to game jam participants.
Sunday, 9 am - 5:30 p.m.
- 9 a.m. - noon
- Melrose Center resources and spaces will be available to game jam participants
- Game jam participants should have their game finished and their presentation booth ready.
- 1 - 5 p.m.
- Game jam participants should host their presentation booth for Orlando Gaming EXPO attendees and judges to compete for cash prizes.
- 5 - 5:30 p.m.
- Closing Ceremony

Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in Orlando Public Library include Children’s, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children’s Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
